Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the difficult journey that Jesse Lopez and his beloved wife, Crystal, are now facing. Recently, Jesse was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, a life-altering challenge that has deeply impacted their family of four. As the sole provider for his family, Jesse has had to take a leave of absence from work due to his illness, leaving Crystal to shoulder the immense responsibility of supporting their family emotionally and financially.

Crystal has bravely stepped into the role of sole provider but has also had to miss work to care for Jesse and their two children Nani and Jr during this challenging time. While they are hopeful, the emotional, physical, and financial toll has been overwhelming. As they begin Jesse’s treatments, the financial strain is already mounting. The cost of medical bills, treatments, and other necessary expenses is quickly adding up, and unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover all the expenses they need to navigate during this time.

The family is hoping to receive advanced treatment for Jesse at UCSF, a critical step in his battle against this disease. However, the associated travel, medications, and medical costs are significant and have created an urgent need for assistance.
