Support Jesse Jones' Fight Against Moyamoya

Hello. This gofund me is being setting up for The Jones family. As many of you know Jesse starting having medical issues in July 2024. After having 2 strokes as a middle aged man you are left to question why, after search, testing and discovery the Neurologist found that Jesse has a rare brain disease called MoyaMoya.

Moyamoya disease is a disease in which certain arteries in the brain are constricted. Blood flow is blocked by constriction and blood clots (thrombosis). A collateral circulation develops around the blocked vessels to compensate for the blockage, but the collateral vessels are small, weak, and prone to bleeding, aneurysm and thrombosis. On conventional angiography, these collateral vessels have the appearance of a "puff of smoke", described as moyamoya in Japanese. Come to find out Jesse has an artery completely blocked on the right side and an artery about 50% blocked on the left side restricting blood flow to the brain drastically which in turn caused him to have strokes.

After being diagnosed Jesse scheduled to have brain surgery in Sanford February 2025. His first surgery went as best as it could have. However the surgeons explained to us that Jesse’s case of moyamoya is one of the worst they have seen 10/10 with both carotid arteries completely closed off with no blood flow through them to his brain. Stanford has asked to keep fluid, cells, and tissues remaining from his surgery to use to do case studies.

Its going to be a very long road of recovery and there will be a second surgery on Feb. 25th for the other side as long as Jesse is able to remain in a stable condition. At the current moment their stay at Sandford has been extended longer than thought. Therefore there are many added expenses such as lodging, meals, and whatever else they may need. The Jones family is going through so much right now and an added worry about how they are going to afford staying close to Jesse shouldn't be one of them. Any and all support is greatly appreciated.
