Update

Jesse went to the pulmonary specialist yesterday (8/8/25) and was told the cancer in his lung and behind his heart had not progressed His lungs are clear of fluid, he’s not coughing or having difficulty breathing. This is all very good news and his prognosis from the pulmonologist is that he could live a pleasant life for unknown years to come. But he needs to eat and reduce anxiety.

Along with this good news is the reality that he still has metastatic cancer in his brain and the surrounding membrane. That is the biggest unknown at this time, the hardest thing to contend with. If it was just simply the lung cancer, we would be feeling much more ease.
He will be seeing his oncologist this coming week.

He has applied for Social Security disability. The representative from the Social Security administration who he met with yesterday (8/8/25) told him that they would expedite his application and get back to him.
There is no known date at this time nor is there any assurance.
There is a great deal of hope that he will be accepted and that it will happen soon.

But as of now, Jesse tells me they’re scraping the bottle of the barrel again.

So right now I am doing my best to gather $800 so he can pay COBRA (his health insurance) and Jesse can rest assured that it will be covered. This is a huge concern for him. This kind of anxiety is the exact opposite of what will help him heal…

Can I ask you again to contribute?
Can we together raise $800 to pay for his health insurance?

Please do what you can to help Jesse survive this ordeal.

And as always, I thank you from the deepest part of my heart❤️

This fundraiser is for my son, Jesse Reneau who is fighting for his life. Jesse and his wife Cindy had been busy working hard to create a life together.
Until a few months ago he drove truck, she’s a manager in retail. He played awesome blues on his Stratocaster. One of their greatest joys was enjoying nature, riding on their Harley. Jesse has always loved to make people laugh. But currently he’s not been feeling humorous at all…

Early this year Jesse began having symptoms of weakness which evolved into what seemed to be a series of heart attacks. After a few months, he was finally diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and metastatic brain cancer. He began chemotherapy accompanied by immunotherapy immediately. Then came the series of radiation treatments to his entire brain because the cancer was in the surrounding tissue of the brain and could not be targeted. This has left him exhausted and completely debilitated. Needless to say he has not been able to work and will not be able to work for some months, if at all. We don’t know that part yet. Cindy took off work for a few months to care for him initially, but because they’re running out of money, she has returned to work. Like most of us, it takes two to keep the “boat” afloat. And their “boat” is starting to sink. They barely have enough money to make it through another month and they’re currently letting go of his truck to reduce their overhead. His motorcycle is next. He is no longer insured through his previous company’s insurance plan and they have no idea how they’re going to pay for the many medications he needs to survive.
They need our help to make it!
Jesse needs to be able to heal, not stress. Stress is not helpful when you’re trying to heal from cancer - when you’re fighting for your life. Jesse is fighting for his life right now and there’s no better time than right now to contribute to him.
Please consider giving anything you can whether small or large because it all adds up! Their need is great… please look into your heart and donate… and please share this campaign with anyone you can think of❤️
