On December 2, 2025, our dear friend and longtime Carteret County resident Jesse Creech suffered a severe stroke. He was taken to ECU Medical Center on December 3rd, where he remains in the ICU. On December 4th, Jesse underwent surgery to place drains in his skull to help reduce dangerous fluid buildup and swelling in his brain.

Jesse has a long and difficult road to recovery, but we are standing beside him with hope and faith.

As Jesse continues to receive critical care, his partner Monica and his three children are enduring the emotional and financial strain of frequent travel—a two-hour drive each way—to be by his side. Jesse is the primary provider for his household, and this sudden medical crisis has created an unexpected financial burden on top of the emotional weight they are already carrying.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help support the Creech family with:

Medical expenses related to Jesse’s care

Travel costs for Monica and the kids

Daily living expenses while Jesse is unable to work
