My name is Dominic Gillette, I'm from Michigan. Jesse Shakarian has always been the brother that I never had.
Many of you know our wonderful friend Jesse Shararian and his family. Jesse is an incredible father and family man. He always goes above and beyond for his two kids Zane (15) and Stella (10) as a single father. These last couple have been extremely hard on Jesse and this sudden tragedy make it even harder.
On Tuesday January 9th Jesse's life suddenly changed in a flash. Jesse lives in the Pacific Palisades area of California. He was at work when things took a sudden turn for the worse, he had to close up the business and rush home to meet his family so they could immediately evacuate from the area due to the wild fire increasingly getting worse. Jesse was never able to make it back home to get his belongings due to traffic congestion and rising flames. Jesse had to meet up with his family elsewhere with nothing but the shirt on his back. The family suffered a very traumatic evacuation, fire and smoke were everywhere. He had to abandon his car and jump in the car behind him where his kids were. They eventually made it out safe from the flames and smoke and sheltered with family.
Jesse received the news that his apartment is still standing, but everything is completely smoke damaged ruining all of their belongings and making the place is uninhabitable for an unforeseen time. Jesse's business is no longer operational and a specific timeline for recovery for his business and home are unknown. Their entire community is gone.
Jesse could really use our help to get on his feet. Anything that you can contribute to Jesse and his kids would be greatly appreciated.
You're in our thoughts and prayers Jesse and you're not alone.
***Update: Jesse is currently living in a hotel with his family. Please take this time to help out if you can.
Thank you to all.
