Support Jess in Honoring Becky's Memory

My name is Jess and this fundraiser is to help us cover some costs so we can have a celebration of life for my mom Becky.

I was woken up by a phone call early on Sunday May 19th 2024 and was told that something happened to my mom. It turned out that she had a massive heart attack that morning and was being taken to a hospital. Once that hospital did what they could, she was airlifted to a larger hospital in Buffalo NY. It was about a 6 hour car ride for my Aunt and I to get to her that Sunday.

We spent days there in a hotel, traveling to the hospital to be by her side and talk to her in hopes that she would wake up. We tried to maintain hope for a happy outcome, however she never regained consciousness, and on Wednesday May 22nd, my mom was officially gone.

This has been a tremendously difficult road. My mom was my best friend, we were so close and anyone who knows either of us knows that.

I will be forever heartbroken over the milestones in life that she will not be here for, both for me and my two year old daughter who just wants to video call her Gammy again.

My mom made an impression everywhere she went. We always called her a magnet because no matter where we were, people were always drawn to her. Strangers would come up randomly and divulge personal stories to her for no reason at all in the middle of a store.

As stated in the beginning, this fundraiser is to help us have a celebration for my moms life. We would like to have it Saturday June 8th. There is no real goal money wise, but if anyone is willing or able to help out at all it would be greatly appreciated. If there is any money left over we would set it aside for her grandbaby Sophie whom she loved with all of her heart.

My mom has spent her life being selfless and helping others and I feel as though she deserves to be celebrated and remembered.
