Support Jes's Fight for a Kidney Transplant

Donation protected
My name is Jes. If you know me, you know how asking for help isn't one of my strong suits. I've always been the type to suffer in silence as my parents raised me to work hard for the things you get. So, I'm setting my pride aside and making this gofundme begging for your help.
I was diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes at 9 years old. I've been dependent on insulin since that day. In my late teens/early 20s, I developed hypertension, neuropathy, and diabetic retinopathy. Throughout my 20s I had to have injections in my eyes and multiple surgeries to attempt at saving my vision. I have been legally blind since, with complete blindness in the left eye and partial in the right. In my mid 20s, the doctors started asking me if I "knew I had kidney damage" without ever telling me how serious it was getting. I was told over and over again that I had slight kidney damage due to the diabetes and hypertension. In my late 20s I was hospitalized for a couple of weeks for an infection in my lungs. Again, they asked if I knew I had kidney damage but didnt elaborate further. Once I got out of the hospital and recieved the discharge papers, I was shocked. I was in late stages of stage 3 chronic kidney disease. Over the next few years, the doctors and I worked at preserving the function my kidneys had left. At 30 my kidneys functioned around 20%. I dropped below 10% at 32 and had to start dialysis. I now currently do dialysis 5 days a week. I have been working with the transplant center at getting on to the kidney transplant list. My fiancee and I have worked very hard at getting it taken care of. Recently we were told that I would not be placed on the transplant list currently as they do not think I would survive the surgery or complications afterwords. We will have to travel to see specialists for the next few years to attempt at getting that changed, as I NEED that kidney transplant to stay alive. After years of back and forth to the doctors and hospitals, our transportation has started having issues. We are both on disability, so our income is very limited and we struggle to pay our monthly bills, let alone car repairs that are so very expensive. Being immuno comprised makes all public transportation very dangerous to my health, so that isn't an option for us either. We are honestly at a loss for what to do.. this gofundme is our last resort as we have applied over and over for loans or help with no luck. Our car is back in the shop after just getting it back last week with more issues now than before. Our bills are due and we are drowning trying to get it figured out. Colin has been working tirelessly at trying to keep us above water by doing doordash consistently, but now that our car is back in the shop that makes even doordash difficult. If you can spare it, please help us. Any little bit helps! If you can't, please share this gofundme to get more eyes on it. i appreciate and love you guys more than I could express, truly. Thank you for even reading all of this, it means a lot. You can message me, or Colin, if you have any questions or even to just say hello. I need all the love, positivity, and prayers that I can get. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU
