Below is the story of a close friend, a strong mama and an AMAZING nurse. She and her family are going through a very hard time given the news about her medical diagnosis in her pregnancy. Jess won’t be able to work for the remainder of her pregnancy in efforts to keep her & baby girl safe. With this said, I can’t imagine the financial difficulties this sweet family will have to face with just one income and multiple fetal speciality appointments weekly on top of normal bills coming in. I am a strong believer in community and in leaning on your village in times of struggle. All I can say is that this is one deserving mama, who needs her village ♥️
“If you’re someone who prays, sends good vibes, or believes in the power of positive thoughts — please send them our way!
We never made an official announcement, but… surprise! We’re expecting a baby girl! I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant with our sweet (and very tiny) little one. Yesterday, we received some unexpected news — I’ve been diagnosed with placental insufficiency, which is causing severe intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). Basically, my placenta is aging faster than it should and isn’t providing enough nutrients or blood flow for our baby to grow as she needs.
Despite being on the smaller side, our girl is proving to be strong and resilient! I’ve been put on modified bed rest in hopes of directing as much blood flow and nourishment to her as possible. The goal is to make it to 37 weeks, when we’ll likely be induced and finally get to meet our little fighter.
While we navigate this uncertain road, we’re leaning hard on hope, faith, and our village. Your prayers, kind thoughts, and baby-growing vibes mean the world right now.
Reece is still too little to understand why Mama can’t pick her up at the moment, so we’re bracing for a period of adjustment — for all of us. We’re staying positive, holding tight to hope, and feeling grateful for the support around us. ”
