Hello, my name is Erin and my two dogs are my entire world. Unfortunately, my first love, Jersey Rose, is facing a life-threatening health crisis. An aggressive cyst has overtaken her left leg, and the only option to save her now is to amputate it.

When I met Jersey, we formed an instant connection. She’s not just my dog; she’s my best friend, my emotional support, and my constant companion.

On October 6th what started as a normal Sunday night quickly turned into a nightmare. After a consultation with the emergency vet, we discovered that the cyst on Jersey’s leg had grown too large to remove safely leaving amputation as the only option. The surgery is urgent, but the vet is confident she can heal and adapt

A Little About Jersey Rose:

I adopted Jersey in 2014, and from the moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she was the one. She was a perfect little pup with a one-of-a-kind personality. I remember sneaking her into the house, hoping she wouldn’t make a sound. When my mom first saw her, sitting proudly on my bed with her tail wagging and a grin that could melt hearts, it was love at first sight. Jersey is gentle, loving, and has a hilarious personality that’s won over everyone she meets. She has been my emotional rock for years, and I honestly can’t imagine life without her.

The Situation Now:

On Sunday, Jersey’s cyst reopened, and the situation has rapidly worsened. Her leg is swelling aggressively, and the bleeding won’t stop due to the pressure on her blood vessels. On October 8th, after another vet consultation, I realized just how critical her condition is. Surgery to amputate her leg is scheduled for Friday, October 11th. However, I’m struggling to gather the necessary funds for the procedure. The vet is willing to wait until Monday if needed, but time is running out.
