Hi, I am Jersee Melvin! I am a film student at Penn State University. During the Spring of 26' I will be directing a short film. This short film is very special to me as it is an adaptation of a book written by my father. His book has touched many hearts, and I plan to do the same with this short film.

This story follows a man - a husband, a father, a son, and most importantly a brother. This man, Jay, is traveling through grief after losing his only brother. He tries to go through life, ignoring it, facing it, trying to let it overtake him, but ultimately, nothing makes him feel better. Until an old hobby is uncovered, writing.

This story is something that everyone can relate to and a story that is going to bring those in grief together.

I am asking for donations to cover the cost of many things. I will be filming in the Beaver County area, so the transportation and housing accommodations are a big part of this. Some other things this will cover are food for the actors and crew that will be working long days, costumes for our actors to look their best, props for our set to look amazing, and, in the end, to be able to put this short in festivals.
