My dad, Jerry, has always been the rock of our family. He’s never been one to ask for help, always putting others first and working hard to provide for my mom, Heather, and the rest of us. Recently, Jerry suffered an unexpected ischemic stroke. It was a shock to all of us, especially since he’s always lived such an active lifestyle and has no history of smoking. Right now, he’s still in the hospital, but we’re hopeful he’ll be released in the next few days. The road ahead is uncertain, and the stroke has changed so much for our family. On top of everything, my parents also care for my grandma, and we may have to relocate her if other family members can’t step in to help.
