Jeremy “Jerry” Davidson has been my friend since childhood in Franklin, Ohio. Our grandmas lived just down the street from each other, and we became close in high school through our shared love of music in Special Mixed Choir. Jerry was always the one who showed up early, worked hard, and gave 110%—even when life was tough, he never let it show. He’s been a great son, student, and friend, always putting others first.

After high school, Jerry pursued his passion for cosmetology, building a successful career in Florida before returning to Middletown, Ohio. He opened his own salon at the Town Mall, a place filled with fond memories, and when the mall closed, he moved his business downtown to stay close to his loyal customers. Jerry’s dream has always been to help revitalize our community through his work and kindness.

Last week, Jerry suffered a heart attack while at work. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors found two major blockages and placed stents to save his life. Though he was released the next day and told to rest, as a sole proprietor, Jerry faces the harsh reality that if he doesn’t work, his bills—both at home and at the salon—don’t get paid. He’s invested so much in his business and our community, and now he needs our help to keep going while he recovers.
