Hi Folks!

Jerry Buchanan is my boat brother and simply the best person I know.

Jerry is a self-employed gardener who relies on his bike as his primary transportation. Every workday means hauling a trailer full of tools up and down the Oakland and Berkeley hills—work that gets harder on the body every year. We’re trying to lovingly (and stubbornly) drag our favorite stubborn dude into the modern age with a cargo e-bike. It won’t change how hard he works—but it will ease the grind, reduce the wear and tear, and help him keep doing the work that sustains him for as long as possible.

The deal with the eBike is because he does haul heavy things and navigates hills, the kind of bike he needs is on the pricier side, due to the power he needs.

I have witnessed Jerry selflessly give to other people and to myself,

without a second thought to himself, and so I am hoping together we can help Jerry catch a break and help his hip from hurting so much, and keep him rolling for as long as possible!
