On Wednesday, September 12th, my friend Jerry Chan was murdered while leaving a bar in Pasadena, California.  I knew Jerry for nearly 15 years, and counted this fun, caring man as one of my closest friends.

While my heart breaks for this loss, I'm overwhelmed by its impact on his family. Jerry was the father of two amazing kids.  Everett (3) and Ellie (1), whom he adored.  He worked extremely hard to support them.  Their mom, Jordan, was a stay-at-home-mom, and so this transition to a life without Jerry will be extra hard as she figures out a way to support them.

There is nothing I can do to bring my friend back, but I hope that with your help and compassion we can find a way to come together as a community to support them through this difficult time. No contribution is too small.
