My dad, Jerry Monroe, has too much pride to ask for help, but I know how bad he needs it, so I'm starting this GoFundMe to help with medical bills and living expenses. He had a bad horse wreck a few years ago that shattered his foot. One doctor wanted to amputate, but he found another doctor who did surgery and put a bunch of screws in. Due to undiagnosed diabetes, he developed diabetic neuropathy and lost feeling in his leg. In May of this year, he fell and injured his knee and couldn't get up. He went to the hospital for the fluid in his knee, but his foot was in really bad shape as well. The doctors realized he had contracted MRSA from the metal in his foot, and he had gone septic. He spent two months in the hospital and rehabilitation care. He was finally released and then suffered from a heart attack 10 days later. He went into cardiac arrest and had to be revived with a defibrillator, and had to spend another 10 days in the hospital. Since then, he has not been released to go back to work due to the heart issues, and the bills (both personal and medical) are piling up. His unemployment has run out, and he has not yet been approved for disability. I hate to see him stressed and struggling. He has always worked hard and is looking forward to going back to work, but needs help in the meantime. Anything helps, thank you so much!!
