Support Jerry heal from Cancer
Our families world has recently been flipped upside down. 4 months ago now, our incredible Dad Jerry was first diagnosed with a muscle tear after a soccer game, which wasn't healing for over 6 weeks and causing him excruciating, unbearable pain. After weeks upon weeks of sleepless nights and extreme swelling in his right thigh, he decided to get additional checkups. After two x-rays, an MRI and finally a PET scan we found out he had actually been misdiagnosed and it turned out to be a rare form of soft tissue cancer called Pleomorphic Rhabdomyosarcoma.
The past few years we have been a fairly health conscious family, so this has obviously been an absolute shock. But it just goes to show that decades of unhealthy lifestyle choices catches up to you at some point. When we found out it was cancer we started to radically shift him towards a healing regime. However because his leg was already so swollen and had aggressively progressed so much, he was in too much pain to continue down this path without medical intervention. The surgeon wanted to amputate his leg straight away without even knowing whether the tumour was benign or not. We had decided from the get go to support Dad's every choice, so given our Dads extreme passion and joy for playing soccer, there was no way in the world anyone was taking his leg! The surgeon met Dad halfway and agreed to surgically remove as much of the tumour as possible without taking out too much muscle.
Given everything we have experienced and passionately researched over the years, we are aware of thousands of cases of people all over the world who have experienced radical remissions from all types of cancers, including terminal through alternative therapies and protocols . We respect and acknowledge the amazing things modern medicine offers, however, we believe in a holistic approach which encompasses and integrates the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of a persons healing.
In saying all of that, this has led Dad to choose to get rid of the residual tumour and cancer cells in a health potentiating, holistic manner where his body heals the cancer with no harm so he can continue being a huge part of our family, play with his grandkids and watch them grow up. He is only at the beginning of his healing journey and we truly believe with an abundance of love and support from family, friends and the broader community it will give him the strength and inspiration he needs to give it his all and beat this FV$3R of a disease, that takes so many lives each year.
Eventually the plan is to send him to a world renowned healing retreat overseas, which has a history of successful clinical cases of reversing chronic disease. However with the current world situation and travel restrictions this is obviously not possible right now. In the meantime, we are putting together the next best thing for Dad's healing, which is an intense protocol encompassing many various targeted treatment modalities and therapies.
It is never easy reaching out and asking for help, however we have sat down and put together only a rough costing for the treatments and protocols needed for Dad to heal and it has already far exceeded what we could have anticipated.
After many years of working very hard to build a future for our family, Mum and Dad received some really bad financial advice, eventually being forced to sell all of their assets including our family home. Since then, there has been many more road blocks which has unfortunately led to their current financial situation and struggle.
Dad has been out of work and predominantly immobile from the initial misdiagnoses which has meant our Mum has had no choice but to take on more work in her aged care job, now working 7 days a week, resulting in extreme overwhelm, burn-out and emotional stress, on top of everything else she is having to process with Dad being so unwell. At such a critical time in their lives, Mum and Dad should be spending as much quality time together as possible. This has not been an option right now which is why we are also hoping to help alleviate the stress and financial burden of paying for all the therapies, treatments and modalities necessary for Dad's healing on top of everyday expenses whilst Mum also supports her life long partner through his healing journey.
This is why us four children are banding together to raise the funds needed for Dad's therapies which are so critical for him to heal. We endeavour to keep you all updated on Dad's journey and progress.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you so much for any contribution possible.
All our love,
Hayley, Laura, Matt, Nick xxx
And the grand kiddies Isla, Elijah and Sage <3
