Help Support the Family of Jerry Alston

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Jerry Alston, a beloved son, brother, friend, and community presence who left us far too soon. Jerry was born on December 26, 1971, and is survived by his loving siblings, sister Donella and twin brother Jamain Alston, who are now facing not only the deep pain of his loss but also mounting expenses as they try to honor him with the farewell he deserves.

Jerry was truly one of a kind—a gentle giant in every sense of the word. Towering in stature, with a heart even bigger, he spent many years as a bouncer at local venues, where he was known not just for keeping people safe, but for making everyone feel genuinely seen and welcome. Patrons and employees alike were met with his warm smile, kind words, and reassuring presence.

He loved Dungeons & Dragons, music, and the Dodgers, but above all, he loved people. Jerry was the kind of person who made the world around him softer and more generous just by being in it.

We are asking for your help to raise funds for Jerry’s cremation / services and the many end-of-life expenses that have fallen on his family during this already unimaginably difficult time. Any amount—no matter how small—will help his family lay their brother to rest with dignity and peace.
