Jerry Allan, a loved father of four and grandfather to fifteen, is known not just for his remarkable talent as a country music songwriter and performer but for his enduring generosity and spirit. For nearly four decades, Jerry has entertained and inspired audiences in Keystone, South Dakota with his tribute shows, impersonating icons like Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, and writing songs that speak to the heart of America. His performances in "Dances With Wolves" and other films have left indelible marks on his fans. Despite his recent severe health challenges, including a surgery that resulted in the loss of part of his leg, Jerry's resilience shines through. His strength and bravery during recovery have touched everyone around him—cracking jokes, welcoming visitors, and sharing his unwavering faith.

**URGENT NEED FOR SUPPORT**

Recently, Jerry underwent a critical surgery that has put a temporary halt to his ability to perform and provide. Facing a recovery period of a year with necessary but rigorous physical therapy ahead, Jerry is unable to work and has incurred substantial hospital bills. As someone who spent his early years as a missionary in Mexico and has always lent a helping hand to others, Jerry now finds himself in need of our support to manage these unexpected expenses. With your help, we hope to buy Jerry a modified van for transportation as well as to make modifications to his home for day-to-day tasks.

UPDATE: 4/21/24:

Hello! I just wanted to send a quick update: It is amazing to see how many people are supporting Dad and helping us move closer to our goal. Dad is expected to go home early next week and he is doing very well in rehab. His team of docs, nurses, and therapists are impressed with his positive attitude and hard work ethic. He has had a minor setback with a possible drug allergy but again they still expect him to be home next week and he will go home with a wheelchair initially. There is a four month waiting period before the house can be assessed for safety and provide recommendations for accommodations. Thankfully, we have family and friends going up to his house to kickstart this process this week. Your contributions will help to purchase materials to build a ramp and install some handrails to start. Adding accessibility to the bathroom is our next goal. Dad is working on healing and working hard in rehab but really looking forward to being back home. Thank you all for your prayers and support.
