Support Jerrid and Julien After Tragic Fire

Hello, if you don't know me, my name is Hayleigh. I am the sister of Jerrid MacDonald and aunt of an amazing little boy, Julien.

On Tuesday, in the early hours of the morning, Jerrid's apartment caught on fire. Thankfully, Jerrid and Julien were not home, but the fire spread hot and fast. We are blessed that between the local fire departments, they were able to control the fire fairly quickly, but the house has been condemned.

Although we cannot get into the apartment right now due to an ongoing investigation, it is safe to assume that most of their things are not salvageable, as well as their family cat, Miles (Julien's "best bud")that did not make it out.

Jerrid and Julien are currently sleeping at my parents' house (Heather and Jeffery MacDonald) for the time being. As a family, we are unsure what their future will look like.

Jerrid is currently unemployed due to trying to recover from a mental health crisis. My parents and I have been helping him with bills and necessities, but this tragic house fire has not made this load easier to bear.

This money raised will be put towards their future living arrangements. Whether that be a new apartment, a camper, or a tiny home built on my parents' property, this money would help cover possible building costs or apartment furnishings, new hygiene items, as well as Julien's needs. It will also help the family take care of Jerrid's bills while we are putting funds towards their future necessities as well. By raising funds like this, it'll decrease the risk of getting too many clothes or duplicate furniture donations, and instead, the money can be spread out and put where it's needed.

The outpouring of love and support from our family, friends and community has been overwhelming. We appreciate each and every one of you. ❤️‍
