Help Support Jerrell Conti’s Recovery and Ongoing Care
Hello, my name is Sara Wiggs, and I proudly serve as President of the Greenville Exchange Club—Greenville’s first and newest chapter of this incredible service organization.
We are reaching out today on behalf of one of our own members and favorite bartenders for New York Butcher Shop on Woodruff Rd., Dan Conti, who recently shared a deeply personal and heartfelt request. His brother, Jerrell Conti, has endured a series of serious health challenges that have turned his world—and his family’s—upside down.
On March 26th, Jerrell was hospitalized in Loris, SC, due to breathing and stamina issues, which were later diagnosed as emphysema and pneumonia. While being treated, his condition worsened—he suffered a seizure caused by a dangerously low sodium level and had to be placed on a ventilator and transferred to McLeod Regional in Florence, SC. After a difficult ICU stay, he is now in rehab in Little River, SC, with a long recovery still ahead of him.
Jerrell has worked tirelessly his whole life, often holding multiple jobs to support his family. But due to a recent job change, he’s caught in an unfortunate insurance gap—leaving him and his family facing a mountain of medical bills and the future costs of necessary in-home care.
As a chapter, we believe in standing by our members and their families in times of need. We are rallying around Dan and his brother Jerrell during this incredibly difficult time, and we invite you to join us.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps lift a bit of the burden from this hardworking and deserving family. Your support will go directly toward Jerrell’s care and recovery needs.
Our Fundraising Goal
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help cover Jerrell’s current and ongoing medical needs. This includes:
- Out-of-pocket hospital and rehab expenses
- In-home care services upon his release
- Transportation to and from follow-up appointments
- Medical equipment and supplies not covered by insurance
- Household bills during his recovery as he is unable to work
