Help Jermone King Fight Stage 4 Cancer —
A Father and Dedicated Firefighter.
In August 2026, Jermone King received devastating news: he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Clear Cell Sarcoma. This extremely rare and aggressive cancer has spread to multiple areas of his body, including his lungs and spine.
Jermone is more than his diagnosis. He is a devoted father of four school-aged children, a dedicated firefighter who has served his hometown of Knightdale and other communities across
four fire departments.
His children are his entire world. Whether helping with homework, cheering from the sidelines,
cooking their favorite meals, or sharing laughter, being their father is his greatest joy. He dreams
of being there for every birthday, graduation, milestone, and precious moment still to come.
As a firefighter, Jermone has dedicated his career to protecting others during their most difficult moments, a man who has built his life around loving, protecting, and serving others. Today, he faces the greatest battle of his own life.
Jermone has completed radiation treatment and is currently undergoing chemotherapy, to be followed by immunotherapy, bone-strengthening infusions, and more radiation. Unfortunately,
his insurance has denied coverage for a recommended chemotherapy treatment against this rare cancer, leaving him facing overwhelming out-of-pocket expenses.
We are asking family, friends, fellow firefighters, and compassionate strangers to help ease this financial burden. Your donations will help cover cancer treatments and medical expenses not covered by insurance. Travel and specialist appointments. Potential clinical trials and additional treatment options. Everyday living expenses and financial stability for his children.
Every donation (none to small) helps Jermone focus on what matters most: fighting this disease and creating more memories with the people he loves-celebrating more birthdays, family dinners, laughter, and time together.
If you cannot donate, please share his story and
keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
