Help Jerk-Lanta Get Rolling!

Jerk-Lanta is the smell that brings the community together — serving up authentic Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Pork, BBQ Ribs, Oxtails, and island-style sides like Rice & Peas, Sweet Plantain, Jamaican Salad, and Mac n’ Cheese. Healthy, fresh, and full of flavor!

For two years, we’ve held it down on Harbins Rd in Dacula, GA — every Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. Our live grill draws repeat customers, passersby, and new faces every weekend. We’ve catered 30+ events, expanded into weekday lunches, and built strong ties with schools, offices, and dealerships across the area.

But here’s the challenge: our tent-and-table setup is no longer sustainable. Winter weather, rain, and the growing demand for weekday service have made it tough to keep up. That’s why we’re launching this campaign — to convert a small school bus into a mobile kitchen and take Jerk-Lanta to the next level.

Why We Need Your Help

• A food truck means hot meals year-round, even in winter and rain.

• It allows us to serve more schools, offices, and events during the week.

• It ensures we meet Georgia’s health and licensing requirements for mobile vendors.

• It opens the door to a shared commercial kitchen or future storefront.

We’ve already spoken with the county health department and mapped out the steps to get fully licensed and certified. We’re ready — we just need the funding to make it happen.

Our Goal

We’re raising funds to:

• Purchase and convert a small school bus into a fully equipped mobile kitchen

• Join a certified commercial kitchen space

• Keep Jerk-Lanta running through winter 2025 and into our third year in 2026

This upgrade will make us more efficient, and productive, and help us continue serving the community we love.
