My name is Samantha Gardner and I'm setting this fundraiser for some dear friends, and one of our own, the Lamb family. If you have spent ANY time at the Tri City Little League field in the past 5 years, you likely know Jerison. He's coached many teams and is always there supporting his boys, Gunner, Jace, and Ryder.
On September 30, the unthinkable happened. After a month of migraines that they figured were caused my stress, exhaustion, and just day to day life, Jerison woke up from a nap, unable to see. After being rushed to the hospital the doctors found a grade 4 tumor on his brain which was later confirmed to be Stage 4 Gliobastoma.
While this is a life altering diagnosis, they are choosing to focus on the positives. On Oct 7, Jerison underwent brain surgery where the doctors were able to remove all visible traces of the tumor! Surgery doesn’t come without its side effects though and Jerison is currently visually impaired. He has a field cut on his left side as well as a lower field cut and his eyes are learning to work together again. They are hopeful that it will come back but time will tell.
They have quite a journey on the horizon with radiation, chemotherapy, and electrotherapy (Optune). He has a very experienced team of doctors and we are confident in their treatment plan. They are determined to show cancer that this family will not go down without a fight and are optimistic about the plan ahead.
This is where we come in. On top of the cancer diagnosis and Jerison being unable to work for the foreseeable future, They JUST had a baby boy, Calum, on Nov 2. I'd love to surround this family with what they need most. Love, prayers, positive vibes, and good thoughts. I'd also like to be help to help relieve the financial burden of reduced income while this is going on. All funds will go directly to the Lamb family to help with medical expenses (he has treatment multiple days a week) in addition to any other financial needs that arise while they are focusing everything they have on their new baby and the fight that lies ahead.
Take nothing for granted, life can change in an instant.
