Hello family and friends. My sister, Jeri, was rushed to the ER on 1/22/25. She suffered a stroke and was unresponsive for 7 days. She's was on a ventilator but had some involuntary movement on her right side. On 1/30/25, she actually responded to a few commands with hand gestures, nodding her head and wiggling her toes. And on 1/31/25, JJ completely woke up!!! The ventilator has been removed and replaced with a nasal cannula for oxygen. She can whisper some, sign and write on paper. She's attempting to use her phone but is getting frustrated from making mistakes. Her coordination is off. She does have some memory loss. She asked for Rylo, her husband, but he passed away 2 years ago. She also didn't realize our sister, Cynthia and cousin, Chris had passed away too. Needless to say, there's still a long way to go but progress is definitely being made. Please continue to pray.

Jeri is a super sweet and loving mom. She is the primary caretaker to her adult daughter who is deaf and has a disability. Jeri works in a local hospital as an hourly employee. However, she does not receive any short-term medical leave benefits, so unfortunately there is little to no income for her February bills.

It is with a humble heart that I ask you, on her behalf, for financial assistance. The funds will cover rent, utilities, phone, car payment and insurance, as well as, care and groceries for her daughter.
