Jeremy was in a horrible accident. He was helping a friend with a tree and a log ended up coming through the back glass of his truck hitting him in the head. He was rushed to Haywood and then transferred mission as Haywood is not equipped to handle trama case as he is. He will remain at Mission for at least a few days. They’re going to wait until some of the swelling goes down and see how things go. There is an air bubble in his brain but If the air bubble goes away then no brain surgery and they seem to feel like it may. He had several skull fractures on front and back of skull. His eye socket is broken and sinuses in forehead are fractured. He had 15 stitches and we’re praying no infection. We are told the damage to his eyes they do not feel will be permanent. They’re still consulting back and forth between neurosurgeons and facial reconstruction surgeons on what they need to do. They’ve changed things on us several times so we will just have to continue to wait to see how things go. Yesterday they said he had a small bleed in Haywood and mission said they don’t see a bleed. So prayers certainly were answered there. He’s still doing good and in good spirits. Please continue to pray for him as well as their kids. They are so worried and have been so supportive to their dad and mom through the last 24 hours. Thank you to all who have prayed the last 24 hours and for all the prayer chains he’s been added too. Please just keep them coming. Prayer is what Jeremy and his family needs most.
If you are able to donate Jeremy will have medical expenses as well as not being able to work for an unknown amount of time.
Thank you all so much
Updates:
Many of you already know but I know some may not and I’m sorry if I’ve missed contacting anyone. Yesterday my husband Jeremy was in a horrible accident. He was helping with a tree and a log ended up hitting him in the head. He was rushed to Haywood and then to mission. He is going to be here for a few days at least. He had 15 stitches and we’re praying no eye damage but too soon to tell. Please continue to pray for him as well as our kids. They are so worried and have been so supportive to their dad and I through the last 24 hours. Thank you to all who have prayed the last 24 hours and for all the prayer chains he’s been added too. Please just keep them coming.
Wednesday night Update: Jeremy is still stable and a lot of the swelling has went down. Still waiting for results from the last Ct which was done this afternoon. Not sure if we are going to hear tonight or if it will be tomorrow. Just want to thank everyone for the prayers and messages and calls. I’m sorry if I haven’t been able to message or call back yet. Hopefully I can get back to everyone soon. Please keep the prayers coming! Gods definitely working and that’s clear to see.
Thursday night update. Jeremy is improving so quickly. God is so good!!! I’ve witnessed that first hand the last 4 days. The air bubble in the brain is gone. He’s doing so good and trying so hard. It’s so hard seeing him this way, but he’s so strong it’s unreal to me. He’s eating good today. He’s actually got up with help of course and sit in recliner to visit with his aunt, her husband and his mamaw. He’s even laughed a few times. He has many skull fractures front and back and most every bone in his face yet they tell me these things will heal. We may have to have some surgeries later but none right now Praise God! Mission has no ear nose and throat doctors so we have to follow up with one as soon as we leave here. I pray for our hospital y’all because it’s not what it used to be. Was told today many doctors refuse to be affiliated with this hospital. Not what I wanted to hear. Anyways I will not even get started on all that. It’s going to be a long recovery but we still have him and we will get there. I’m so grateful for wonderful family and friends and all the prayers we’ve received since Monday. We love you all and are so thankful for each of you. Please keep praying for him.
Saturday morning update: Jeremy is continuing to do good so we are waiting to see if we may get to go home today. There’s a few results we’re still waiting on, so once those come back we will know for sure. I just want to thank everyone for all the prayers, calls, texts, messages and everything else that everyone has done for us and our family this week. I’ll continue to update as we learn more.
Sunday morning update on Jeremy Hill
We got to come home last night. He’s doing better. He’s resting and making jokes. He got to see our neice and nephews last night and visit with his brother Chris Hill and nephew Austin Hill. I appreciate all the call prayers and support we’ve received this last week. I can not say that enough. The Lord has truly blessed us with amazing friends and family. Please keep him in prayers as we will have several appointments this upcoming week.
Life is so fragile and can change in the blink of an eye. Make sure you let those you love know how much they mean to you and show them daily, because we are not promised tomorrow.
10/15/24 update on Jeremy
Jeremy had his eye surgery yesterday and we went this morning for his results. They said they were able to get the glass. He had a stitch put in because they had to cut a little to get the glass out. It is very uncomfortable of course but hopefully it can now begin to heal. We have another appointment with ear nose and throat for another Ct scan Thursday praying that will go as good as this morning did. Thanks to all for the prayers.
