Support Jeremy's Recovery from Necrotizing Fasciitis

Dear friends, family, and community

We are reaching out to you during an incredibly challenging time for my brother, Jeremy. A week and a half ago, Jeremy was rushed to the hospital with a severe case of sepsis and diagnosed with necrotizing fasciitis of his right arm. He has had to endure two surgeries since that time, a third is planned for today, to remove the damaged tissue and infection from his hand to above his elbow, leaving him unable to use his right arm. He is unable to work and facing an uncertain road to recovery.

Jeremy, a loving husband to Patty and father to their children, has always been the backbone of his family and has been their strength during challenging times. However, at this time there is uncertainty about what he will need when he is able to return home and what modifications may need to be made to accommodate his new needs.

In addition to the emotional toll, this has taken on Jeremy and his family, they are now facing overwhelming financial burdens. Medical bills are piling up, and the cost of day-to-day expenses, such as groceries and gas money to and from the hospital, which is quite a distance from their home, are becoming increasingly difficult to manage.

To add to their hardship, Jeremy has already undergone the traumatic experience of having his leg amputated in the past, and now he must confront this new health challenge with bravery and resilience.

As you can imagine, it is challenging not having use of both your right arm and right leg. When he does return home, Patty will need to continue his care, leaving her unable to work as well.
