Hi, Everyone! My name is Misty. A couple of weeks ago my younger brother began experiencing extreme fatigue and signs of jaundice while living overseas with his wife and three daughters. After a hospital stay there, doctors discovered his liver was in the final stages of failure due to a chronic autoimmune disease. He was immediately flown with his family to UAB hospital in Birmingham, AL where he is now awaiting a life-saving liver transplant. Without it, he will not survive. He’s only 43 years old, and his and Courtney’s three beautiful daughters are all under the age of 10.

This sudden crisis has turned their world upside down. They will need to completely restart their lives. He will not be allowed to return to life overseas after an organ transplant, which means they must now find a new home, new jobs, vehicles, furniture, and rebuild from scratch here in the U.S. - all while navigating the uncertainty of his health.

The cost of relocating a family of five from overseas is immense, not to mention paying for hospital meals, snacks, and more. My family and I are asking for your support during this unimaginable time. Any amount you can give will help lift a tremendous burden off their shoulders and allow them to focus on what matters most: healing, recovery, and keeping their family strong.
