This is an update/new story.....Jeremy Novotny is twenty-seven years old. He was diagnosed with type one diabetes when he was nine years old. In the begining it was pretty easy. As he got older it hasn't been so easy. He now has debilitating peripheral neuropathy, fibromyalgia,chronic pain,gastroparesis, ulcers, mental health issues on top of the type one diabetes. Some days he can't eat solid foods or do much. Since his latest hospitalization where he had been found unresponsive in Florida, in a coma for 2 days with a blood sugar that was over 2 thousand, we (his parents) made arrangements and got a new apartment in Minnesota and brought Jeremy to live with us. It's been nearly two months since he has been with us. We just now have been able to make a doctor's appointment with an endocrinologist. During this time, paying for meds and supplies out of pocket has drained all accounts, including the gofund me. His Dad works full time with an extra part-time job on weekends. So we cover all living expenses but can not afford this added expense. Being with Jeremy and helping him daily and nights has become a full time job for me. That's fine, I will gladly do it. It's hard to see him in so much pain. We just desperately need some help. Even with getting insurance, some things won't be covered including pain medicine that helps with nausea. Which is something he can't go without. Without it, he suffers with neuropathy and fibromyalgia pain and nausea that's so bad, he can't eat. We are in a tough situation here. I want to thank everyone who has helped already. We truly appreciate each and everyone of you. I am asking for my son. I don't think I would do this for myself but for my kids and my family, I will do anything I can to help them. If you would please consider donating and sharing this post, we would be so thankful.
