UPDATE 12-29-25 Jeremy's surgeries are complete, he remains hospitalized the team will meet tomorrow to decide how best to begin the long recovery. He has made extraordinary efforts in managing his pain and keeping a very positive mindset. The insurance company has begun their standard "we aren't responsible" and this is causing him to stress about the near future and long term. Please help him get through the healing process if you can. Rent is due, along with necessities. UPDATE 12-21-25. The first round of surgeries are completed. a second surgery is scheduled for January 22, 2026. He will remain in the hospital until then. Please help he has so much to worry about having a home to go back to shouldn't be one of them. Give thanks to each and everyone of you. My son Jeremy, who works at an animal hospital, was driving back to work from a holiday luncheon with other employees in tow, who witnessed the accident. Jeremy is an incredibly good human, taking both human and animal strays into his small apartment. He was scheduled to take his first time off next week. A woman picking up her child from school did not stop at the stop sign, and Jeremy swerved to avoid a collision. In doing so, the mom and child were not injured. In making that decision, he received a bruised aorta, a fractured spine, a crushed wrist, a dislocated hand, a dislocated shoulder, a crushed ankle, and a fractured heel on the other foot. The bruised aorta prevented the doctors from beginning the surgery he needed. Today, his spine, wrist, and hand were attended to. I am not sure when the next surgery will occur. The spine is the greatest concern, and we are all praying he will not be paralyzed. He has a bonded pair of large dogs who adore him, and he them. He is a single father of three teenage boys. Their mom has been phenomenal, helping him as much as her new life allows. Here’s the thing, even though the other person was at fault, it was an accident. Their insurance company will not be accepting responsibility, as we all know it can take years for them to do so in the hope it will just go away. He has no insurance, no income coming in, and I am asking and praying that you will find it in your heart to give anything you can to make his recovery a tiny bit easier. Please consider being a part of his miracle by donating any amount you can spare. Thank you .... His Mom Barbara
