Jeremy's Eye Surgery and Other Medical Expenses Fund.

Hey all, Jeremy here. Most of you know me as that mildly eccentric British guy. That's a reputation I can live with I guess.

Anyway, some of you know that I had a bad fall back in February where I tripped and banged my head very badly on the edge of a desk. Ended up in the hospital for three days and, while I've mainly recovered, I did manage to screw up my eyes.

I'm currently seeing double, which has gone on for about a month now and I'm going to need surgery, which I am not looking forward to.

Unfortunately, what with my eyes being the way they are, I can't drive so everything has had to be an Uber, which as you can Imagine ends up costing an awful lot. In addition, I've been having to pay the usual co-pay rubbish to the various doctors I've been seeing, which includes my regular doctor, my pain management doctor, and my eye doctor. In fact, I have two appointments already scheduled for next week, one of which (the eye doctor) will take about three hours. I'm also currently renting an Airbnb in Pasadena because at least my doctors are relatively close by. It only costs $60 for an Uber to see my pain management doctor. Yep, that's just the Uber. I have to add co-pays and prescription costs to that.

So, here's the crux of the matter:

Yep, I'm pretty desperate. My savings that I had have gone on all those damn expenses; Uber, co-pays, prescriptions, and Airbnb. It's been costing me thousands.

So, if you're so inclined or able, please consider donating to help me continue to be able to see that my medical expenses are paid. If this hadn't happened, things would have been fine and dandy. Even now, as I'm typing this, I'm having to keep one eye closed and the other eye is finding it very difficult to read what's on the screen, so I'm being very slow about writing this.

Anyway people, that's the upshot. I really hate doing this, but this was entirely unexpected.
