My name is Jeremy, and I never imagined I would be in this position, but life has taken an unexpected turn. In November, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Just six weeks later, I learned it had spread to my liver, and three weeks after that, to my lungs. Because of the cancer, I also had to get a colostomy bag, which has been a huge adjustment. Last Monday, I started my first round of aggressive chemotherapy, as my doctors are doing everything they can to fight the spread.
This journey has been incredibly tough, not just for me, but for my family as well. I am unable to work because I am in and out of the hospital and dealing with the side effects of chemo, which is expected to last six to eight months. The only income we have right now is from my wife, who works her regular job and also delivers Amazon blocks for a little extra money to help pay the bills. She’s been taking days off to take me to appointments and care for me, and I see how hard she’s working to keep up with everything.
I am reaching out to my family, friends, and loved ones for help. If you find it in your heart to support us during this time, I am deeply grateful. If you can’t, I completely understand—your prayers and good thoughts mean the world to us. Thank you so much for everything, and many blessings to you and your family.
