Support Jeremy's Burn Recovery Journey

Hi guys, as some of y'all know, my husband Jeremy caught himself on fire on May 23rd.

He was working on a dirt bike for one of our kids. The gas tank leaked without him noticing, and a spark from the battery ignited the bike, which then caught his body. He ended up with 3rd-degree burns on 13% of his body.

After getting to the ER, he was life-flighted to Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia (about 4 hours away from home). He had to have skin grafts done on May 25th; that was a 4-hour surgery. Jeremy was discharged on May 27th. The night of discharge, we had to get a hotel room before we were able to get home. He had his first follow-up this Wednesday (June 4th). We thought we'd get lucky and get to be done at that point, but unfortunately, Jeremy still has most of his grafts on. They're scheduling another surgery and more grafting.

Unfortunately, all of his appointments are at that hospital 4 hours away from home (nowhere closer in the state). And also, unfortunately, we don't even own a car that can safely get us there and back, so we have to rent a car each time and even get hotel rooms.

This incident has rocked our family's world right now.

We know times are tough for everyone, so we feel bad for asking, but we're asking for donations of any kind. Between all of the costs and 0 income, we could really use all the help we can get.
