Hi, my name is Anabelle Grant. I’m the oldest of five children and the daughter of Molly and Jeremy Schopper. I originally started this fundraiser to help my father after a devastating accident—but as our journey has continued, so has our understanding of what lies ahead.

Recently, my father was involved in a horrific head-on car collision. The impact was severe and life-altering, and he was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. What followed was an overwhelming medical emergency that no family is ever prepared for.

By the grace of God and the incredible support from our communities, we have made it through those initial, critical weeks. However, we are now facing a new and equally difficult chapter.

We have been told by medical professionals that my father will never be physically the same again. Because of this, our focus has shifted from the immediate medical crisis to the long-term care and lifestyle changes he will require moving forward.

Our home must now be renovated to meet his new medical and mobility needs. This includes converting our carport into a fully handicap-accessible living space, widening doorways to accommodate a wheelchair, installing motion-sensor lighting, and making additional modifications to ensure he can safely live at home. As we begin working with contractors, we know this list may grow as we better understand what is required for his care.

At the same time, my father is unable to work, and my mom, Molly, is currently not working as she cares for him full-time. The financial strain from these necessary changes, along with ongoing medical needs and daily expenses, is more than we can handle alone.

We are asking for continued support during this next phase of our journey. Funds raised will now go toward:

• Home renovations and construction to accommodate long-term medical needs

• Ongoing medical care, therapy, and rehabilitation

• Household expenses while my father remains unable to work

The love, prayers, and support we have received from the Greenland community, the Gentry community, and so many others have been overwhelming. We truly do not know where we would be without all of you—and most importantly, without God carrying us through this.
