Support Jeremy Poole ❤

Early on November 14th, Jeremy Poole was involved in a terrible car accident on his way back to Fredericton from Miramichi. Jeremy was brought to Saint John Regional Hospital’s S.I.C.U to be treated for his various injuries by the best physicians and nurses in the province. Jeremy sustained serious injuries to his lungs and brain. For now he remains under sedation in the S.I.C.U and is on a ventilator to allow for his body to rest and to begin healing. With multiple tests being run and conditions being ruled out daily, there are still many unknowns to Jeremy’s situation. Although Jeremy’s condition is stable, yet critical, the length of his stay in the hospital and his road to recovery is undetermined.

Jeremy will be celebrating his 23rd birthday on November 24th. Jeremy is currently enrolled at NBCC in Fredericton in the Business Administration: Accounting program. For a man of such young age, he truly has made a difference in so many lives. Any one who has the pleasure of getting to know him can attest to the purity of Jeremy’s character. Jeremy is an individual who can make a grim situation, a good one and puts others’ wellbeing and feelings above his own. He is a sensitive and old soul, who highly values the relationships he has with others and would do anything to help out somebody in need.

The Poole family has been overwhelmed with support following this traumatic accident. The kind words and prayers being said about Jeremy and photos capturing Jeremy’s kind and crooked grin being shared has been a light in the dark for Jeremy’s family. It has touched them deeply knowing how many people out there are keeping Jeremy in their thoughts. The community of Miramichi as a whole, Jeremy’s friend group in both Miramichi and Fredericton and family across the country have been beyond generous – in donations of restaurant gift cards, food, gas cards, hotel night stays and monetary contributions. With this being said, Jeremy’s road to recovery will be a long one and specifics are undetermined at this time. One thing that is certain is Jeremy will need daily support from his loved ones. With Saint John being 3 hours away from the Poole’s home in Miramichi, Jeremy’s parents are suffering loss of wages, as his father is self-employed and currently unable to work as they are both residing in Saint John to be with their son while recovering. The family is experiencing extra expenses, such as travel, hotel stay, take out/cafeteria food and taking on Jeremy’s bills, which includes his apartment rent in Fredericton, student loan/line of credit payments, etc. This GoFundMe page has been set up by Jeremy’s friends, with permission of the Poole family, in the hope to alleviate some of the financial stress being placed on the family during this already stressful time. Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
