Support Jeremy Foster and His Family's Recovery Journey!

Good afternoon family and friends!
It comes with a heavy heart to share with you all that our beloved, Jeremy Foster, went through very intense abdominal surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock on September, 20 2024.
We are very fortunate and incredibly grateful to still have Jeremy with us. Jeremy has been no stranger to surgeries, but this particular surgery had many people questioning the outcome, including his tremendous surgical team. What started as a very bad hernia/fistula quickly developed into a perforated bowel, which was leaking feces and infection into his entire abdominal cavity, causing him to become dangerously septic. Thanks to the incredible work of the many surgical teams on hand, the surgeons were able to clean everything, and somehow put his stomach back together, something that had become extremely compromised by a large abdominal mesh that was used to reconstruct his abdominal wall over a decade ago.
While we are once again forced to swallow our pride, our family is reaching out to all of you, those nearest and dearest to us, as well as anyone else who is in a place to offer us help during this very trying time. In Jeremy's condition, there is a great deal of uncertainty about if or when he may be able to return to work. If Jeremy had it his way, he would work 60-80hrs a week, and regularly does, when well…Just prior to his surgery Jeremy had committed to coaching Jackson’s Mini Metro basketball team, something he was looking forward to very much. Jeremy feels like he is letting his team down, particularly Jackson. Thankfully kids are understanding, especially Jackson, who has been witness to this kind of thing since he was just a new born.
Please understand that the last thing our family wants to do is hold our hands out for help. Unfortunately, since Jeremy recovered from his last surgery in June 2023, we were almost immediately hit by devastating flooding in July 2023, which bled us dry of any nest egg we had…Just as our family was getting our feet on solid ground this spring, we had to install a new roof and make other imminent repairs to our home, costing us around $50k…Almost immediately following these repairs the unthinkable happened again, our home flooded again in July 2024, just a couple months ago. We are currently working on coming to terms with our insurance provider to help with the repairs, estimated at $80k. While the insurance company is working with us, we are reaching a scary time of year, as our home heating system has not yet been replaced, and time is closing in…And just one tragedy followed after another, we now find ourselves trying to get our dad back home, healthy, while not losing everything we have worked so hard for.
The most important thing is that Jeremy is here with us! We hope and pray that he will be able to contribute as a 2nd income earner again in time, but with so much uncertainty, we ask that you will find it in your heart to donate anything you can to help our family through this difficult time!
From all of us, Valerie, Jeremy, William, Sam, & Jackson, we thank you with every bit of our heart!
Bless you all!
