Support Jeremy Baker's Fight Against Crohn's

Hey Everyone, I'm reaching out with a heavy heart, in hopes for some help. For those of you who don't know, my dad Jeremy Baker was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease back in 2007, he has been on medication for quite some time, up until just recently he was unable to get it due to insurance. Since he didn't have it for a few months, this led to a significant decline in his health. For some background information, on March 15th of 2025, he had fallen twice, had a seizure, and shortly after was taken by ambulance to the emergency room. Once there, doctors found he had lost half of the blood in his body and remained in the hospital for a week. Over this week they found he had a major flare up with several bleeding ulcers in his colon. After getting the bleeding under control, he was then released for home care. After several doctors appointments, blood transfusions, he still remains weak, and is slowly recovering. Throughout this process he was let go of his job. (and this was a recent employment, so he wasn’t eligible for FMLA). Many know we are a big family, so this loss of income is very crucial. One thing I would like to do is take this stress off his shoulder financially and help raise some money. If you've ever met my dad you know his favorite thing is to joke around. Lately he hasn’t been his true self, so if anyone can send some words of encouragement and prayers to help get him through this hard time, that would also mean a lot to us. Any contributions are greatly appreciated, no matter how small. Anything and everything makes a difference. Thank you all for the support.
We just got news that my dad got approved for a new medication to help get his Crohn's back in remission. Although we are still waiting, he is very eager to get better, get back to work, and to be with his family!
Hey Everyone, A lot has happened since my last post, so I thought I should share an update. Shortly after posting the go fund me, my dad had fallen again, and was brought back to the hospital. Once there , they found 4 abscesses had formed along his colon. In which they inserted drains to drain them. They then learned one of the abscesses had perforated the side of his colon wall, and from there, they decided surgery was needed to remove his colon. Thursday April 10th, he had another fall in the hospital and was moved to the icu and put on a breathing machine, however shortly after it was removed. His surgery is scheduled for Monday April 14th, this is a huge step in the right direction. We would like to thank all of you for your continued prayers and support! He is in good spirits and ready to take on the surgery and get back to normal!
