Support Jeremy and Sally's Journey for Barbara

On August 12th, Jeremy and Sally Quinn began to worry about their mother after not being able to reach her by phone for several days. Barbara, their mother, lives in New Harmony, IN, while Sally lives in Texas and Jeremy lives in Florida. After reaching out to friends to go check on their mother on August 17th, they found out Barbara has been at Deaconess Midtown in ICU. Immediately, her children made an unexpected and unplanned trip back to Indiana to be with their mother, taking a big toll on expenses.

Barbara started to show improvement and came off the ventilator, but at some point, she took a turn for the worse and was put back on the ventilator. Barbara has been in the hospital for 17 days and continues to struggle each day. We are starting a GoFundMe in order to help with Jeremy and Sally’s expenses while they prepare for Barbara’s recovery or funeral arrangements.

Update

8/29 Day 17- today was a very rough day, heart rate and BP were dangerously low and Dr had to decide to put Barbara back on ventilator for the 4th time. One step forward and 10 steps back it seems. Keep praying for the Quinn Family.

8/30 Day 18- No improvement today, had a small procedure to drain another infection they found. Still on vent and non responsive.

9/1 Day 21

I have not updated the last couple of days because it’s been pretty stressful for the family. Unfortunately we would love to say there is improvement or stayed the same but that’s not the case. The family has been requesting an abdominal scan but have been assured countless times there is no need for it that there is no internal bleeding. However today the drain put in to clear infection has shown a different picture.The family is demanding answers and we are asking you to continue to pray for Barbara Quinn, Jeremy and Sally.

9/5-Day 24

I didn’t make it up today but here is update from Sally,

Mom is off all sedation medication. When they sat mom on the edge of the bed, she saw me and tried to say Hi. That was the first real good response we’ve had from Mom. She is on the trial mode on the ventilator. They will schedule another CT scan .
