Support Jeremiah's Recovery and Stability

Hello everyone,

My name is Jeremiah. A few of the pictures are not for the faint hearted but I wanted to ensure everyone knows what is going on. I had a life-altering surgery on May 16, 2025. I was told my recovery would be swift and I could return to work in 3 weeks. I had lymphedema in my left leg, and it caused a nodule to build on my leg. The surgery was to remove said nodule. I had a 2-week post-operation check-up on May 29, 2025. My fiancé and I pointed out to the surgeon that a spot had been constantly bleeding and looked weak. He put a band-aid on it and told me to resume normal life activities. That night, I went to take a shower, and the leg burst open, spraying blood everywhere. We called 911, went to the emergency department, and were told to pressure wrap until my appointment in the morning. At the appointment, I was told the bleeding was normal and an ultrasound wasn’t necessary. For the following week at home, I had to change the bandages every 3 hours because it was bleeding so much. I finally called my primary to get me into a wound care center. I had one appointment with them. Last Sunday, while I was sitting in church, I got this awful smell from my leg. Monday morning, I called the wound center, and they changed up my routine. Monday night, I ended up in the Emergency Department at home, where they proceeded to do bloodwork and a CT scan of the wound. They found an abscess behind it and admitted me, they called it sepsis. Tuesday evening, the Vascular Team performed surgery and removed a foot-long abscess that was almost 4mm wide, leaving a baseball-sized hole in my leg. Unfortunately, it also leaves me out of work and with a wound vac for the foreseeable future. This fundraiser is to help me with unexpected emergencies, bills, and rent so I don’t lose my house in this process.
