Hi,
Michael Landsman and I have decided to help raise funds for Jeremiah Tower, who recently lost his husband, Curtis Cox, to an incurable disease. They were married for 8 years and met 15 years ago. Curtis had a long, incurable illness dating back many years. As a result of this long-term illness, and due to complications from COVID, plus the vicissitudes of medical insurance, Jeremiah incurred a number of large medical bills. Many of which he is now unable to pay.
We are hoping to help defray some of these costs and are asking you to help. The money we raise here (with your kind donations) will go towards helping Jeremiah pay down the debt (medical and related bills) he incurred while helping care for Curtis.
Michael and I have known Jeremiah since the early 1980s and have remained friends with him throughout the years. He was immensely helpful to us and countless others when we first started out in life. His generosity over the years has been nothing but above and beyond. We are forever thankful for his friendship and generosity.
As many of you probably already know, Jeremiah had a long and storied career as a chef and restaurateur. He’s most well-known for his San Francisco restaurant Stars. Early in his career, his cooking skills put Chez Panisse on the culinary map. He has also written several cookbooks. Anthony Bourdain produced the biopic, The Last Magnificent, about Jeremiah’s life.
This is a very sad moment for him, having lost Curtis. We, Michael and I, would like to now offer him our support – the way he once did for us.
We hope you might consider helping out in Jeremiah’s time of need.
Thank you.
Michael Landsman
