Hello everyone,
My name is Candice Hyatt, and I am reaching out to ask for support for my brother, Jeramy, during his cancer journey. Writing this isn’t easy, but our family has learned how important it is to lean on others during times like this.
Back in September, Jeramy noticed an unusual lump in his neck. After many appointments and tests, he was diagnosed with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer, a rare and aggressive form of thyroid cancer. Since then, everything has moved very quickly. Thankfully, Jeramy will be participating in a clinical trial in Chapel Hill and is grateful for access to such specialized care and treatment options.
Due to the aggressiveness of his cancer, he has had to take a leave of absence from his job. While he does have health insurance, he unfortunately does not have a cancer policy. Medical bills have already begun to accumulate, and the ongoing travel expenses to and from Chapel Hill will be difficult to manage without his regular income.
Jeramy is 46 years old, a devoted dad, and a proud granddad. If you know him, you know his heart. He has a positive attitude and always seeks the bright side of any situation, even in the hardest moments. He’s facing this diagnosis with strength and hope, but the financial burden is very real.
Funds raised through this page will help cover:
• Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance
• Travel costs to and from Chapel Hill (gas, food, lodging, etc.)
• Basic living expenses while Jeramy is unable to work
Any support — whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping Jeramy in your thoughts and prayers — means more than we can express. Thank you for surrounding my brother and our family with love, encouragement, and hope during this journey.
With gratitude,
Candice
