Jen Deerinwater has been accepted into a critical new clinical trial, but it requires Jen to move. Unfortunately, that means Jen needs to urgently raise $15,000 to ensure they can secure a new home near the medical facility as soon as possible so they don’t miss this opportunity to receive life-saving care.
Jen Deerinwater is a Bi, Two-Spirit, Indigenous (enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma) leader in the disability justice community as well as other communities and movements. For years, we have been honored to count on Jen’s incredible leadership across countless projects. But Jen has been battling to access culturally competent healthcare that keeps Jen alive and comfortable for years – and that just isn’t happening in DC. Just when hope seemed lost, they were accepted into a new clinical trial at Johns Hopkins! The frequency of care in this new trial does not allow for a commute from DC though – Jen needs to relocate to make this work.
That’s where we, Jen’s community, come in. We need to raise the funds to make this move happen to ensure we keep Jen alive. Can you help?
Your donation supports housing and moving costs such as a down payment for a home.
