Support Jen's Journey to Health and Stability

In late December, Jen underwent emergency surgery to resolve a myriad of unexpected health events - perforated esophagus, deflated and fluid-filled lung, and stomach infection. As a result, she was hospitalized for 17 days while the physicians searched for answers that would bring her back to health.

She returned home January 14, only to be sent back to the ER after a post-hospitalization appointment found a leak around her esophagus stent and right lung. She stayed an additional 9 days in the hospital, where she received new feeding tube and drainage tubes. Jen is now scheduled for surgery to remove the stent in the esophagus and will spend another 2 nights in the hospital.

She's on the road to recovery, but it will be a long one, full of many follow-up appointments, tests, equipment, and home-health care. Since Jen is currently between jobs, making these unplanned medical expenses a heavy burden to carry.

Her extended family set up this GoFundMe page for those who have asked how to help Jen and Cooper during this time. Funds raised will be used to pay down her medical bills in hopes of allowing them to maintain their normal, day-to-day lives.
