Hi, my name is Sharon and I’m reaching out on behalf of my neighbor, Jen Riemenschneider, who lives in Mineola, New York. For the past six years, Jen has bravely faced stage 4 breast cancer, showing incredible strength and resilience through every challenge. Recently, Jen and her family received the devastating news that her cancer has now spread to her brain. This new development means Jen will need to undergo Proton Radiation treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New Jersey, requiring her to travel out of state and face new hurdles.

Jen is a devoted wife and mother to four young children. As she prepares for this next phase of treatment, her family is confronted with significant financial burdens. The costs of travel, lodging, and meals during her time in New Jersey are adding up quickly, creating additional stress during an already difficult time. Our community has always admired Jen’s courage and the love she shares with her family, and now we have an opportunity to support them in a meaningful way.
