Jenny is my good friend of 14 years, and she was my boss when we first met. Over the years, I’ve watched her work incredibly hard, raise two kids, and start her own successful daycare. She’s always been the first to show up for a friend, offering help in any way she can. Jenny is strong and ambitious, and she’s gone through more than most people will ever experience, coming out even stronger each time.

Recently, Jenny has been facing a tough medical journey. She’s lost over 60 pounds and is preparing for surgery to remove a large growth, which she calls Rufus. The surgery will require a big incision and a long recovery—at least six weeks. On top of that, Jenny was diagnosed with Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and has started working with a specialist who finally listens to her concerns. While she waits for surgery and begins treatment, she won’t be able to work, making it hard to cover her bills and living expenses.
