Support Jenny's Recovery and Her Beloved Dogs
Donation protected
Hello, I'm creating this for a person in our community that we love and value.
Unfortunately, Jenny has had a stroke and will require inpatient rehabilitation for at least 6 weeks. Jenny has 2 dogs, "Archie & Daisy," and a sister, brother & mother who helps to the best of their ability. That's the extent of her family aside from us at the Dog Park who are creating this out of our own compasion & concern.
Jenny will need financial help as a homeowner and also has been unemployed as a teacher for a few months. All proceeds will be allocated to the care of her dogs and upkeep of her property.
Please find it in your heart to help her through this tumultuous time in her life.
Thanks, Everyone
**** Update 7/9/25 ****
Update: I am at the Courage Kennedy transitional, physical rehab program in golden valley. I’m walking pretty well now using a Lego cane for balance, it’s a real cane but it’s the kind they have in Lego. for their little C shaped hands to grip. My right arm/hand is getting better by a lot. I was weaving today on a table loom they have here. I think some of my more intricate crochet & beading projects are going to be on hold for a while yet, but I’ve improved a lot from when I got here. I can pick stuff up & move things & put things down. It’s a great time.
I miss the park & all the people & pups out there. I especially miss my own Archie & Daisy. They are with my family, having the summer of a lifetime, first the summer camp experience they had with Kelsey, getting treats & having great adventures & riding in a convertible! & playing with friends & getting a sleepover every night! Now with their cousins & more treats & air conditioning & all the attention & chairs to sit on they could ever want & a bunch of kids ready to pet them! (They are acquiring a taste for that last one but doing great I hear!) I’m still working on some heart issues with my cardiology team. For now I get to wear a defib “life” vest that is basically AI Resuscitation. If the sensors read that my heart beat jumps around too much, it beeps at me & I shut it off but if it’s beating so off-rhythm that it makes me pass out & I can’t shut it off, the vest shocks it back to a normal rhythm. It hasn’t happened yet but if it does I’m sure it will be a great story.
I’m so thankful I have such great friends & family helping me & cheering me on. It was so thoughtful & kind of Bryan to set this up & such a surprise! Thank you so much to everyone who’ve contributed & who have reached out with friendly texts & well wishes & funny stories. Thank you all & I’m hoping your summer has been full of sunny days at the park & great food truck finds! See you all soon!
