Support Jenny's Recovery and Financial Strain

My name is Jenny and I have been struggling since April 2024 after getting a major shoulder surgery. I went in to get one problem fixed and I came out with a whole new painful problem. I have been suffering physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. I have been calling out of work because I am in too much pain. I am now officially out of work on short-term disability until my surgery date, which is August 21st. I used all my PTO, so those days I called out were without pay. And now I have to wait seven days from when the paperwork is processed before I’ll get a disability check.

I live paycheck to paycheck. I do not have credit cards or loans to rely on; they’re not even an option. I am short on my mortgage, my cell phone, my car insurance, car payment, and my co-pay for a specialist appointment I’ve been waiting months for. I need to get the oil changed in my car and get my refrigerator repaired. I have a bunch of medical payment plans and prescriptions.

Riley works and is trying to buy groceries and do what she can, but she has to pay for college and try to cover cat food and litter. We are just in a really tough situation right now. I do NOT like asking for help. This is beyond embarrassing for me. I have made poor financial choices in the past, but I am not going to beat myself up over it now. If anyone has a couple of bucks to spare to help get us by, I would be forever grateful. Short-term disability is only a percentage of my normal income, so this is going to be rough. Thank you.
