Help a Single Mom with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer 

Story:

Hi, my name is Jenny, and asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But right now I truly need support.

I’m a single mother raising two incredible children with autism. They are my entire world and the reason I keep fighting every single day.

I am also battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Over the past few years I have endured a double mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and now ongoing treatments to try to slow the cancer. The treatments keep me alive, but they come with constant side effects and pain. My bones, joints, and body hurt every day. Even though I may look okay on the outside, the reality is that I live with chronic pain, extreme fatigue, and physical limitations 24/7.

Because of my condition and treatments, I am unable to work. At the same time, my children have special needs and require therapies, support, and stability that only a parent can provide.

Being their mom is the most important job of my life, but financially it has become incredibly difficult to keep up with:

• Medical expenses and treatments not covered by my insurance 

• Daily living expenses

• Transportation to appointments

• Therapy and support needs for my children

• Basic household bills while I’m unable to work

• Unexpected Hotel stays for appointments since my hospital is almost 3 hours away from home

I have always tried to handle everything on my own, but cancer has changed my life in ways I never imagined. The reality is that I need help to keep our lives stable while I continue treatment and care for my children.

Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward medical costs, living expenses, and supporting my children while I fight this disease.

Hola, mi nombre es Jenny. Soy una mamá soltera de dos niños con necesidades especiales. Mis hijos tienen autismo, ADHD y asma, y requieren terapias constantes y mucho apoyo. Mis hijos son mi mundo y hago todo lo posible cada día para cuidarlos. También estoy luchando contra cáncer de mama metastásico en etapa 4. Después de haber pasado por una doble mastectomía, 30 sesiones de radiación y 16 rondas de quimioterapia, sigo en tratamiento constante. El dolor físico, la fatiga y los efectos secundarios de los medicamentos son parte de mi vida diaria. Aunque por fuera pueda parecer que estoy bien, la realidad es que vivo con dolor constante y mi cuerpo está muy agotado. Debido a mi condición de salud, no puedo trabajar en este momento, lo que hace extremadamente difícil cubrir los gastos básicos de mi familia, los tratamientos médicos y las necesidades de mis hijos. Crear esta campaña no fue fácil para mí, pero en este momento necesito ayuda. Cualquier donación, grande o pequeña, significaría muchísimo para nosotros.
