Hi! My name is Tiffany and I've started this fundraiser for my best friend/soul sister, Jenny. She's an amazing friend, Mom, sister and human in general. She never asks for help, most people didn't even know she had cancer until I started this page. She's running out of options within her insurance coverage for Cancer treatments. This is her story:

February of 2021 Jenny was scheduled for a colonoscopy due to pelvic pain and rectal bleeding. The results revealed a large mass in the proximal rectum The mass was so big, the scope could not pass through to complete the procedure. A biopsy confirmed it was a malignant adenocarcinoma with 3 effected lymph nodes in proximity of the mass. A PET scan showed not only the rectal mass but 6 lesions on her liver and a small nodule on one of her lungs. Her diagnosis, Metastatic Colorectal cancer at the age of 46. A power port was put in place, and she began 7 cycles of an aggressive chemo regimen to shrink the liver lesions before having a liver resection. Unfortunately, she had a rapid reoccurrence after the resection with 2 tumors popping back up on her liver. She had another liver resection and microwave ablation on the tumors. She also had 27 sessions of radiation along with a chemo pill to shrink as much of the mass in her rectum as they could before the big surgery. In December of 2021 she had a lower anterior resection and spent 8 days in the Froedtert Hospital. Due to the reoccurrences on her liver, she was told she'd continue chemo for life. She returned to Froedtert in 2022 for Y90, an interventional radiology treatment that uses guided imagery through an Xray or CT scan. They access your Femoral artery with a thin tube to inject radiation beads directly into the tumors on theliver. She had a good response to the treatment, and was started on a new chemo regimen that included immunotherapy. The tumors on the liver were shrinking. She pushed through the brutal side effects of the immunotherapy, and it did stop things from progressing for close to a year. Sadly, the cancer mutated, and it stopped working. She was placed on a new line of treatment that was having another good response once the dose was adjusted. She started the treatment in April of 2023, and it was stopped September of 2024. The recommendation was back to Froedtert for another Y90 treatment on November 1st 2024. The Dr.’s have no way of knowing what direction it will go and the mutations that will develop along the way. She has great insurance with her employer but there are so many therapies out there that insurance will not cover as they are out of her area.
