UPDATE-

I have some very hard and difficult news to share about our sweet baby. Unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with leukemia, which is essentially a cancer of the blood. This type of cancer is very aggressive and often a silent killer, as our little ones don’t show symptoms until it’s already very advanced.

Tomorrow we will meet with the oncologist to go over the possible treatment options in order to give her the best quality of life possible in the short time she has left with us. My world and my soul are completely shattered.

Tengo noticias muy duras y difíciles que compartir sobre nuestra dulce bebé. Lamentablemente, ha sido diagnosticada con leucemia, que es esencialmente un cáncer en la sangre. Este tipo de cáncer es muy agresivo y, a menudo, un asesino silencioso, ya que nuestros pequeños no muestran síntomas hasta que ya está muy avanzado.

Mañana nos reuniremos con el oncólogo para revisar cuáles son las posibles opciones de tratamiento, con el fin de darle la mejor calidad de vida posible en el poco tiempo que le queda con nosotros. Mi mundo y mi alma están completamente destrozados.

Hi paw friends and family,

For all those who know us know that we don’t have human children. Beba is the closest thing we have to that. She’s been our companion for the last 7 years and we’ve lived a beautiful life together. We’ve tried to always give her everything she’s ever needed these last 7 years of her life. She’s been in the hospital for 2 days and a half as of now. Our sweet baby is very weak, she’s anemic and needed a blood transfusion as of this morning.

The Dr does not know what’s going on with her yet. They did a biopsy yesterday and we will be getting those results today. The Dr thinks something is compromising her bone marrow production which is making her have low counts of red and white blood cells. The Dr thinks this cause could be lymphoma. Manny and I both work in the medical field so we know what this could potentially mean..

Our hearts have been broken into a million tiny pieces and we’re just paralyzed from the pain. While we do have insurance for her, we have to pay her vet bills up front as they come and we are reaching close to 10k as of now. This is without including what will come after her diagnosis if she does have cancer. Those of you that know us know we never ask for help, we always figure everything out on our own. But we feel this is so much bigger than us and requires our amazing community’s help. If you can’t donate monetarily please donate a prayer, we just want our fur child to get better and give her the best quality of life we can. Thank you so much, we love you all ❤️

Para todos los que nos conocen, saben que no tenemos hijos humanos. Beba es lo más cercano que tenemos a eso. Ha sido nuestra compañera durante los últimos 7 años y hemos vivido una vida hermosa juntos. Siempre hemos tratado de darle todo lo que ha necesitado durante estos 7 años de su vida.

Lleva dos días y medio en el hospital. Nuestra dulce bebé está muy débil, tiene anemia y necesitó una transfusión de sangre esta mañana. El doctor aún no sabe qué le está pasando. Ayer le hicieron una biopsia y hoy recibiremos los resultados. El doctor cree que algo está comprometiendo la producción de médula ósea, lo que está haciendo que tenga bajos niveles de glóbulos rojos y blancos. El doctor piensa que podría tratarse de linfoma.

Nuestros corazones están rotos en un millón de pedacitos y estamos paralizados del dolor. Aunque tenemos seguro para ella, debemos pagar los gastos veterinarios por adelantado y ya estamos llegando cerca de los $10,000. Esto sin contar lo que vendrá después de su diagnóstico, si resulta tener cáncer.

Quienes nos conocen saben que nunca pedimos ayuda, siempre tratamos de resolver todo por nuestra cuenta. Pero sentimos que esto es mucho más grande que nosotros y necesitamos la ayuda de nuestra increíble comunidad. Si no puedes donar económicamente, por favor dona una oración. Solo queremos que nuestra hija de cuatro patas se recupere y darle la mejor calidad de vida posible.
