Hi, I’m Jenn, and I’m 35 and officially cancer-free, but now I’m in debt from trying to survive.

Last year, Jan 4, 2025, I was admitted to the ER for being unresponsive with the flu.

February 10th, I had a normal OBGYN check-up and they found something abnormal, so they scheduled a biopsy (horrendous by the way, you feel everything) in the beginning of March, where they found masses.

They scheduled a surgery for removal of the masses and scraping down of the uterine wall and sent that in for further testing. June 2nd, I found out I was in the early stages of endometrial cancer. My boyfriend of 7 years and I wanted to have kids, so the doc put me on hormone blockers to stop the spread as much as possible. That gave us a chance to research options of conception. It was all so fast, so rushed, and way too expensive. We can barely stay afloat when we are both at work, just the two of us.

In August, I had a follow-up biopsy and they saw it was still growing. We made the decision to call off our hopes for a child and go through with the hysterectomy.

I was then on 3 different types of meds to stop the spread and control some of the pain. My insurance charged $1500 for one prescription itself.

Dec 2, I had my surgery, a hysterectomy. I was in the hospital for over 8 hours.

I have been out of work since that day, maxing out credit cards and loans just to pay bills and buy food.

Feb 4, 2026, I was readmitted to the ER with bleeding and extreme pain. Turns out I wasn’t healing properly and formed an infection. I was put on antibiotics, put through more oncology visits, and CT scans.

Today, Feb 27, 2026, I finally had my final appointment. They chemically cauterized where the blood vessel tissue wasn’t healing and I am cleared to return to work on March 13th!!!

I am not one to ask for any help from anyone. I’m the one who always just gives. I’m not necessarily looking for help with my card and loan debts from all this. Just for the immediate help for living essentials and bills.
